Annie Gentils Gallery présente depuis 1986 des œuvres contemporaines multimédias et conceptuelles, ainsi que de la peinture et de la sculpture.
Pour cette nouvelle participation à PARÉIDOLIE, la galerie rend hommage à l’artiste Marc Rossignol (1954 -2025).

Peindre et dessiner simultanément de la main droite et de la main gauche faisait partie intégrante de la pratique artistique de Marc Rossignol. En 2008, l’artiste s’est intéressé aux dessins topologiques du Vanuatu (sandroing) et aux Lusona Tshokwé, en raison de leur caractère eulérien.

La série récente d’œuvres présentées témoigne encore de l’usage de la ligne continue selon ces pratiques, remplissant entièrement l’espace du papier et revenant à son point de départ.

« Pour une pratique artistique plus physique que spirituelle, je souhaite redonner au corps sa capacité créatrice. J’épuise la charge des pinceaux le long du parcours afin de marquer le trajet du début à la fin, soulignant ainsi le rapport particulier au passage du temps. » _{Mark Rossignol 2020}

Annie Gentils Gallery showcases since 1986 contemporary multimedia and conceptual artworks, along with paintings and sculptures.
For this new participation to PARÉIDOLIE, the gallery pays tribute to artist Marc Rossignol (1954 -2025).

Painting and drawing simultaneously with both left and right hand was an integral part of Marc Rossignol’s artistic practice. In 2008, the artist took an interest in topological drawings from Vanuatu (sandroing) and in Lusona Tshokwé, for their eulerian characters.

The recent series of pieces displayed still  testifies the use of continuous line according to these practices, filling the paper entirely and coming back to its starting point.

“For an artistic practice more physical than spiritual, I wish to give back to the body its creative capacity. I run the brush out along the way to mark the path from beginning to end, so I underline the special link to time passing.”  _{Mark Rossignol 2020}
