Dans le cadre de l’édition 2024 de Paréidolie, la Galerie Eric Dupont présente les oeuvres de quatre artistes : Katarzyna Wiesiolek, Damien Cabanes, Carlos Kusnir et Didier Mencoboni.

Un chien couché près d’un mur taché où sèchent quelques oripeaux, des bulles irisées qui s’envolent au crépuscule. J’ai choisi cette phrase pour résumer le travail des quatre artistes que nous proposons pour cette édition 2024 de PAREIDOLIE.
Le chien est celui qui se pose quelques instants devant les yeux de Damien Cabanes, au-dessus de lui, en formation, quelques pinces à linge placées par Carlos Kusnir retiennent un tissu maculé qui n’attend que la brosse d’un balai pour les estomper ; de l’autre côté les bulles colorées de Didier Mencoboni s’évadent du cadre qui tente de les retenir pour s’évanouir dans
les ciels crépusculaires des paysages de Katarzyna Wiesiolek.

Créée il y a 31 ans par Eric Dupont, la galerie accueille des artistes plasticiens préoccupés par la recherche formelle, tels que Damien Cabanes, Carlos Kusnir, Siobhan Liddell... Elle défend également des photographes dont le travail s’inscrit dans une démarche engagée et esthétique (Mathieu Pernot, Nicholas Nixon, Taysir Batnji...).
Elle héberge au cours du temps de nouvelles générations d’artistes :
Tahmineh Monzavi, Wiame Haddad, Roméo Mivekannin, Katarzyna Wiesiolek...
À la faveur d’un dialogue interculturel constant, elle participe à de grands événements internationaux, biennales et foires (1-54, Paris Photo, Art Paris...).

As part of the 2024 edition of Paréidolie, Galerie Eric Dupont is presenting works by four artists: Katarzyna Wiesiolek, Damien Cabanes, Carlos Kusnir and Didier Mencoboni.

A dog lying next to a stained wall where a few rags are drying, iridescent bubbles flying away at dusk. I chose this phrase to sum up the work of the four artists we are presenting in this 2024 edition of PAREIDOLIE.
Above him, in formation, a few clothes pegs placed by Carlos Kusnir hold a stained fabric that is just waiting for the brush of a broom to fade them away; on the other side, Didier Mencoboni's coloured bubbles escape the frame that tries to hold them and vanish into the twilight skies of Katarzyna Wiesiolek's landscapes.

The Gallery which was created 31 year ago by Eric Dupont, welcomes visual artists concerned with formal research, such as Damien Cabanes, Carlos Kusnir and Siobhan Liddell. At the same time Gallery works with photographers dealing with a committed and aesthetic approach: Mathieu Pernot, Nicholas Nixon and Taysir Batnji.
Over the years the Gallery hosted new generations of artists: Tahmineh Monzavi, Wiame Haddad, Roméo Mivekannin and Katarzyna Wiesiolek. Thanks to a constant intercultural dialogue, it participates in major international events, biennials and fairs (1-54, Paris Photo, Art Paris).
