Convaincu du rôle essentiel des galeries auprès des artistes, Laurent Godin fonde en 2005, sa galerie, avec pour seul capital la confiance et le soutien de nombreux artistes.

Ouverte dans le Marais à quelques mètres du Centre Pompidou, la galerie investit un second espace dans le 13e arrondissement en octobre 2015 avant d’y déménager en Septembre 2017. Ce lieu de 500 m2, situé en dehors du circuit classique des galeries d’art, doit se comprendre comme une invitation à prendre le temps, à repenser notre relation aux oeuvres et aux expositions.

La galerie représente aujourd’hui une vingtaine d’artistes émergents et établis, dont le travail a pour point commun de participer à la discussion et à l’évolution de l’art contemporain, avec une attention particulière portée sur les champs politiques et socio-culturels.

La Galerie Laurent Godin représente également ses artistes dans les foires d’art contemporain parmi les plus importantes en France comme à l’international.

Convinced of the essential role of galleries in helping artists, Laurent Godin Godin founded his own gallery in 2005, with only the trust and support of numerous and support of numerous artists.

Opened in the Marais district just a few metres from the Centre Pompidou, the gallery
moved to a second space in the 13th arrondissement in October 2015 before moving there in September 2017. The gallery currently represents around twenty emerging and establishe artists, whose work has one thing in common: they contribute to the discussion and evolution of contemporary art, with a particular focus on political and socio political and socio-cultural fields.

Galerie Laurent Godin also represents its artists at some of the world's leading contemporary art fairs in France and abroad art fairs.
